Old Fish Ship Scratchbuilds

In 2001, several years before ADB released the WYN fish minis shown earlier on this page, I built five miniatures (CA, 2xCW, 2xDD) to stand in for those ships in WYN games. They were largely scratchbuilt, using a dowel rod sharpened with a pencil sharpener as their core. The remainder of the ships were built using styrene stock and engines from Klingon miniatures. The were built using what limited images were available for the WYN fish at the time and the result were ships very different than the new miniatures. I’ve hung onto these ships because I’ve always liked their look and when I painted most of the minis above, I updated these old minis with new decals to match the rest of the fleet.
